In store, we collect your information if you request a quote, or place an order for products or services. If we have estimated for your flooring requirement, we might also have created a detailed drawing or plan to help us assess your needs.
The lawful basis (under the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) for us processing data is “Legitimate Interest” – and all personal information collected is up-to-date to the best of our ability.
Should you send us a visit request through our website or by visiting our showroom, we would normally collect the following information:
This is collected so that we can carry out an onsite measure and the delivery or fitting of goods.
Utilising your email address to contact you allows us to be kinder to the environment but also to provide you with information you might have requested, estimates and invoices, quickly and effectively. Providing us with your email address is completely optional and we would be happy to contact you by any other means more suitable to you.
Telephone numbers are purely collected in order to let you know of any delays we may be experiencing or to answer any queries you may have. We may also contact you or text you to remind you of an upcoming visit for measuring or fitting.
The fact that we come to your home to carry out a measure does not put you under any obligation for any work to be carried out. We do sometimes recommend that if you are considering flooring for an area that you are not ready for quite yet, you let us measure it for future reference. This is of course entirely optional but it helps us provide you with information quickly should you decide you would like us to undertake further work.
